I collect tree bark images…it appears you do too. I like the close up a lot but the fan of branches is lovely.. I know a lot of trees came down last week glad to see this one still standing.
Happy New Year
I love the texture of this tree. Thank you for sharing it with us.
The bark at the base of the tree almost looks like a cloak that has blown open. Beautiful tree!
What an amazing tree! Glad you found it, Julie.

I’m a bark collector too (photographs)! Do you know what sort of tree it is? It looks like a Melaleuca (“paperbark”) to me from over here. If it is we used to have great fun as children gathering the windblown bits and trying to peel away each layer – so fine and delicate and each with a slightly different colour.
I don’t know what kind of tree it is, but what you describe sounds exactly how it looks. 🙂
i guess i am missing many of the blogs i follow. not sure how the reader works. I will be away for two months Feb. and some of March, to India.. So will not be posting to much in the next week or so.. I hope to come back with new photos etc.. Have a good year – Julianne. x
