Miguel Hidalgo (2 POV’s)

Weekly Photo Challenge: An Unusual POV: The statue in Dolores Park of Miguel Hidalgo, Mexican priest from Dolores, Mexico, who is considered the father of the Mexican Independence. On September 16th, 1810 Hidalgo addressed the people, giving el Grito de Dolores, marking the start of the Mexican War for Independence. Dolores Park in San Francisco is named for him.
